Choosing a Doula Training Course - call with Kicki of Birth Bliss

Kicki Hansard is kicking doula-business arse.

If you are thinking about training as a doula, Birth Bliss might be the place for you.

Kicki is such a grounded, sensible, caring person - she reminds me a little of my mum: practical, strong, gentle.

Many doula training courses (it might be all of them, I didn't get far enough along with all of them to know), have a mandatory phone interview before you can apply to the course. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know more about the course facilitator or course company founder, and therefore more about their philosophy. As well as practical arrangements.

Check her out on Instagram or Facebook where she does lots of great live interviews for experienced doula insight. She also wrote this book about which I've only heard great things. It's on my list to buy once I make it through the 16 in my pile!

I've chosen a different course with Developing Doulas that I'll write about and link to here once written. Perhaps Kicki was just too much like my mum; it might be like year 6 maths homework all over again... Love you really mum 😘 let's face it, she's the only one reading this 😁
